These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of our website, online tutoring services, and digital products provided by QuickTalk Tutor Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using our website, booking lessons, or purchasing materials, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Definitions
“Learner” refers to any individual receiving tutoring services.
“Parent/Guardian” refers to the responsible adult providing consent for a learner under 18.
“Lesson” refers to a scheduled tutoring session booked and paid for through Calendly and Stripe.
“Digital Materials” refers to any downloadable or purchased educational content offered by QuickTalk Tutor Limited.
“Platform” refers to our website and any service used to deliver lessons, such as Zoom or Tencent Meeting.
2A. Website Use
Visitors may browse our website for personal and informational purposes only.
You must not copy, scrape, or reproduce any content from our site without written permission.
You agree not to use our website in any unlawful way, including attempting to disrupt, hack, or overload our services.
3. Services We Provide
QuickTalk Tutor Limited offers:
– Online one-to-one and small-group conversational English tutoring
– Exam preparation sessions for IELTS, TOEFL, PET, and CET 4 & 6
– Digital educational materials for kids and adults
All lessons are private tutoring sessions provided by qualified tutors. We are not a school or accredited institution.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book lessons or make payments. Learners under 18 must have parental or guardian consent, and all bookings must be completed by the parent or guardian on their behalf.
5. Booking and Payment
5.1 Bookings
All lessons are booked via Calendly and confirmed only after payment is received.
Lesson times are displayed in the learner’s local time zone. The learner is responsible for ensuring they attend at the correct time.
5.2 Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, which supports WeChat Pay, Alipay, debit, and credit cards.
Prices are displayed in GBP (£).
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Stripe or bank processing fees are not refundable.
Receipts are issued automatically via email.
6. Lesson Types and Duration
Available lesson options:
– Conversational English (for Kids or Adults)
– Exam Preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, PET, CET 4 & 6)
Lesson durations:
– 20 minutes
– 30 minutes
– 40 minutes
– 60 minutes
All lessons are online, delivered via Zoom or Tencent Meeting.
7. Rescheduling and Cancellations
Learner Cancellations:
– More than 24 hours before lesson: may reschedule once without charge.
– Between 1 and 24 hours before lesson: may reschedule once (subject to availability).
– Less than 1 hour or no-show: lesson is lost and non-refundable.
Tutor Cancellations:
– If we cancel, we will offer a reschedule or refund at our discretion.
8. Refund Policy
Refunds are granted only if duplicate payments were made, or the learner was charged incorrectly.
Refunds are not available for completed or missed lessons.
All refunds are processed through Stripe and may take 5–10 working days.
Transaction fees may be deducted by Stripe or your bank.
9. Technical Issues and Force Majeure
Lessons rely on third-party platforms (Zoom, Tencent Meeting).
If technical problems occur (internet failure, platform outage, or power cut), lessons will be rescheduled.
If the learner’s equipment or connection fails, no refund is provided.
We are not responsible for service interruptions caused by external factors (force majeure).
9A. Third-Party Services Disclaimer
Our website and lessons rely on external platforms (Calendly, Stripe, Zoom, Tencent Meeting).
We are not responsible for technical errors, outages, or failures on those platforms, or for any losses they may cause.
10. Learner Conduct
Learners (and parents) must attend on time, communicate respectfully, and avoid inappropriate behaviour or disruption.
If behaviour is unacceptable, QuickTalk Tutor Limited reserves the right to end the lesson immediately or terminate future lessons without refund.
11. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All lesson materials, documents, videos, and digital downloads remain the intellectual property of QuickTalk Tutor Limited.
Learners are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use purchased materials for private study only.
Learners may not share, copy, or resell our materials, record lessons without written permission, or post materials or recordings online without approval.
Violation of these terms may result in legal action.
11A. Intellectual Property on Website Content
All website content, logos, branding, written lessons, and materials are protected by copyright and international IP laws.
QuickTalk Tutor Limited retains full ownership of all intellectual property on this website.
12. Digital Product Sales
Digital materials (e.g. ABC Books, Conversation Practice Guides) are sold via our website.
All downloads are for personal, non-commercial use only.
We do not offer refunds for digital products once downloaded.
Purchases are processed through Stripe and delivered to the email provided.
12A. Digital Delivery and Download Access
Once payment is complete, digital materials are delivered electronically to the email address provided.
Please download and store your copy securely. QuickTalk Tutor Limited is not responsible for lost access due to deletion or email filtering.
If you have trouble accessing your materials, contact info@quicktalktutor.com within 7 days of purchase.
13. No Guarantee of Academic Results
QuickTalk Tutor Limited provides professional guidance and support but does not guarantee exam scores, language proficiency levels, or job outcomes.
Progress depends on the learner’s participation, effort, and practice.
14. Limitation of Liability
QuickTalk Tutor Limited’s liability is limited to the total amount paid for the affected lesson(s) or product(s).
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as internet failure, missed exams, or third-party platform issues.
We are not liable for loss of income, reputation, or opportunity arising from lesson outcomes.
15. Data Protection and Privacy
Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
16. Minors and Safeguarding
Lessons for minors (under 18) require verified parental or guardian consent.
Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to discuss their child’s progress or safety.
We do not record lessons unless specifically agreed in writing.
17. Termination
QuickTalk Tutor Limited may terminate lessons or access to digital products if the learner breaches these Terms, payment is not received, or inappropriate behaviour occurs.
If the tutor ends lessons for non-disciplinary reasons, remaining lessons will be rescheduled or refunded at our discretion.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time for operational, legal, or business reasons.
Updated versions will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services means you accept the new Terms.
18A. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute or complaint, both parties agree to attempt informal resolution via written communication before seeking legal action.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be handled exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and QuickTalk Tutor Limited and supersede any prior verbal or written discussions regarding our services.
