What makes QuickTalk Tutor different?
QuickTalk Tutor offers personal, one-to-one conversational English lessons that help learners use English for daily communication. There are no textbooks or heavy grammar drills; just real English that builds confidence in speaking, listening, and pronunciation. Lessons are friendly, flexible, and designed for your goals.
Who do you teach?
I teach learners from age 3 to adults of all ages. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and purpose; from young children learning their first words to adults improving communication for work or travel. Every learner receives personalised support and feedback.
Do you teach beginners?
Yes. I teach complete beginners, including children and adults with zero English foundation. Lessons use simple speech, visuals, and repetition so learners can understand, build confidence, and begin speaking naturally.
Which exams do you prepare students for?
I prepare students for IELTS, TOEFL, PET, CET-4, and CET-6 exams. You can book individual skill lessons for Speaking, Listening, Reading, or Writing, or request a full exam course package. Each session includes structured feedback, vocabulary correction, and tips to improve your score.
How long is each lesson and what are the prices?
Lessons are available in 20, 30, 40, and 60-minute sessions, depending on your needs. Trial lessons are 20 minutes for new students. Prices start from £5.65 (≈54 CNY) for children’s conversational lessons. Full price details are shown on the Lessons Page before you book.
How can I pay for lessons?
All payments are handled securely through Stripe. Stripe accepts Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, and WeChat Pay. Prices are in GBP (£), with CNY (¥) shown for reference. You will receive an email receipt and booking confirmation once your payment is complete.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
You can cancel or reschedule your lesson up to 24 hours before the start time at no cost. If you cancel within 1–24 hours, you may do this once without losing your payment. However, a second short-notice cancellation within the same 30 days will be treated as a completed class and will not be refunded or rebooked. If you cancel less than 1 hour before the lesson or do not attend, the lesson will be marked as attended with no refund or rebooking. In genuine emergencies, please contact me directly and I’ll do my best to assist. If I ever need to cancel, you will always be offered a refund or free reschedule.
What materials are used in class?
I provide my own conversation-based materials. You don’t need to buy any textbooks. Lessons use real-life topics, visuals, and speaking activities. For children, I also offer optional learning books such as the ABC Talking Book and Story & Talk Kit. For adults, there are Conversational Practice Books and Exam Preparation Guides available on the Shop Page.
Do you record lessons?
Recording is optional. If you agree, lessons may be recorded for feedback and progress tracking. You can also record your own class for revision. All recordings are kept private and deleted after review.
Which platform do you use for classes?
Lessons take place online using Zoom or Tencent Meeting, depending on your country and preference. Both platforms allow clear video, screen sharing, and chat practice.
Can I study on my phone or tablet?
Yes. You can attend your lesson using a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection, a working microphone, and your meeting app installed before class begins.
What if I am late for class?
If you are less than 10 minutes late, the lesson will continue for the remaining time. If you are more than 10 minutes late without prior notice, the class may be marked as attended and no refund or rebooking will be given.
Do you offer group lessons?
Currently, lessons are one-to-one for the best focus and progress. Small group classes may be available in future; please contact me to join the waiting list.
Do you provide certificates or reports?
For exam and children’s courses, a short progress report or achievement summary can be provided upon request. This includes lesson focus, areas of improvement, and suggested next steps.
